Art therapy is a nonverbal, visual, form of communication and self-expression. This approach may be particularly helpful to those who struggle to find words, including neurodivergent clients or those who have suffered trauma. Art Therapy provides emotional regulation through art materials as well as co-regulation. Art therapy as a bottom-up approach is trauma informed. Working somatically art therapy holds safety at its core.

Aim
To provide therapeutic intervention and support for clients. As a neurodivergent practitioner Tara is particularly interested in supporting the neurodiverse community especially women and girls diagnosed and undiagnosed. Tara is a fully qualified post primary teacher and has over 10 years’ experience working with adolescence in various settings in Ireland and the U.K. Tara is also trained as a hatha yoga instructor.
