I offer in-person therapy at The Dancing Soul, Athlone, online counselling, and Walk-and-Talk Outdoor Therapy in the Athlone area. I aim to provide a supportive, confidential, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore life’s challenges at their own pace.
My approach is primarily person-centred talk therapy, grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change when offered the right conditions. I also work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s unique needs.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe people heal through genuine connection, feeling understood, and being accepted without judgement. I strive to create a warm, safe, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I work with empathy, curiosity, and authenticity, while also offering gentle challenges when it supports growth. A little light humour often finds its place in the therapy room too.
I am a pre-accredited member of the IACP and hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College. I have completed training in the InCorr Method Anxiety & Panic Programme. I am currently undertaking advanced training in the InCorr Method Level 2, which focuses on working with the underlying emotional experiences that can contribute to trauma-related difficulties.
I also offer Walk-and-Talk Therapy for clients who may feel more comfortable in an outdoor setting. Many people find it easier to open up when walking side-by-side rather than sitting face-to-face in a therapy room. Being in nature, combined with gentle movement, can help reduce stress, support emotional processing, and enhance overall wellbeing.
Walk-and-Talk Therapy is not suitable for everyone, and together we can explore whether this approach is right for your needs. Please feel free to get in touch for further information.
