Hi, my name is Julie,
I am a pre- accredited counsellor/ psychotherapist with youth studies I have studied
with the Irish college of Humanities and Applied Sciences (ICHAS). My background
is in Special Needs Assisting where I have worked in special schools, special
classes and mainstream school settings for over 20 years. I have a wide range of
experience in disability, I have supported children and teenagers with a variety of
disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Physical disabilities, ADHD, Anxiety,
childhood trauma, separation and loss, Bullying and struggles with confidence and
low self-esteem. I also have experience of working as a counsellor within a co-
educational secondary school.
It is my passion to also support the parents of children and teenagers with a
diagnosis, as I have seen first hand the struggles they face daily. I am also
passionate about helping adults and parents navigate their own issues such as
anxiety, low self-esteem, coming to terms with a diagnosis for themselves or their
child ,and past traumatic experiences.
I have a social care degree with UCC, and I am a creative Mindfulness Practitioner
for children, teenagers and parents.
I use a person centred, creative integrative approach, where I like to bring in creative
activities such as art, music and meditations into the sessions to create a supportive,
safe, confidential, non-judgemental space.
I look forward to hearing from you and supporting you on your healing journey.
Please feel free to call, message or email me for an appointment.
