Maria is a qualified creative Psychotherapist specialised in Play Therapy. Maria
works with children and teenagers from age 3-18 years old.
Maria has worked in Dancing Soul since October 2024. Maria has experience in
working with various complex needs from grief, loss, neurodiversity, separation,
transitions, attachment, bullying and trauma.
Prior to Maria’s MA in Creative Psychotherapy, Maria has over a decade of
experience working within the social care sector ranging from homelessness,
addiction, mental health and working with children and families.
“Being with” and using a person-centred approach is utilised in Maria’s work as a
Creative Psychotherapist. Maria works in Creative Psychotherapy involves a
systematic support towards integration, involving a process with the child/teenagers
and parents/caregivers. The child/teen is not the only client, as parents’ involvement
is crucial to the process.
